The total ride is around 220 km and one of the nicest in the Parry Sound District 10. You will encounter varying trail across open areas , through hills and forest encountering wild lif along the way. A ride you will fully enjoy!
Leaving the Info Center you will sled north on TOP C through some challenging trail that that will have some steep hills but will also some scenic terrain. The trail will follow the hydro line and mixed forest for approximately 30 km until you come to the junction of Carling Trailblazers Trail 402. This taril for the most part will follow logging roads and will intersect Carling 404 and then 401. You will be on Carling 404 and 401 for about 20 km or so and you will meet up again with TOP C.
You will turn east and take TOP C towards Ardbeg and Dunchurch. C104D to Ardbeg is a pretty trail winding through hardwood trees, wetland areas and evergreens. At Ardbeg you can gas up and have a bite at Loggers Station House, then carry on towards Dunchurch on C104D. C104D meets the Snakeskin trail CSR 603 and you can either take the Lake or carry on across C104D. C104D at this point is a logging road and is quite a nice ride to the eastern junction of CSR 603 and C104D.
C104D from Snakeskin to the junction of CSR602/DASR805 is a nice trail to take your time on as it is hilly with many sharp turns.
At the junction of CSR602/DASR805 you can take 602 and meet C104D on the far side of Whitestone Lake or just follow C104D on into Dunchurch. If you take 602 you can plan to stop at Whitestone Lake Resort to fuel up or have lunch or a coffee. Just follow CSR 605 trail on the lake to the north end of the lake and you will see the Resort on the north shore.
Once in Dunchurch you can get regular or premium gas and eat at the restaurant located at the Duck Rock Resort if you bypassed Whitestone Lake Resort. It is advisable to get fuel at one of these locations
On Leaving Dunchurch there will be a bit of road travel however once back to the trail you will be in forest and lake travel. The next stop will be in Ahmic Harbour where you can gas up at Guitar Pickers Corner and have bite to eat if you didn’t get something earlier at the Corenr or go across the street to the Harbour Tavern.
The next leg of the loop will have you cross Ahmic Lake. Some sledders call this Piston Alley but it is also a nice ride down the lake checking out the shoreline for wild life and the coaatges that line the shore.
Once leaving the lake, there will be a summer road to follow and bit of road till you get to the Village Magnetawan. Going through the Village yoi will see Ridgerunners Trail 711 follow the signs and soon you will be back on a forested trail that will see going through mixed forest and a hardwood forests. Wildlife sighting will be pretty good all the way down 711. At a certain point you will come to Trail 704.
Take 704 and you will travel through a wetland area and a cedar and evergreen forest. This is quite a nice ride along this little trail.
You will end up a the junction of 704 and C103D ( The Sequin) . At this point you can travel the short distance into Sprucedale for fuel and a coffee or turn right (east) to head back to your trailer at the Info Center on The Sequin. A distance of approximately 43 km.
